In short: a good affiliate program for web designers pays you for advice you already give, without changing how you work. The Amaso affiliate program pays 35% of any Amaso plan your clients buy through your link or code (up to $192.15 per sale), by Mobile Money in 21 African countries. The fit is natural: you build WordPress sites, and Amaso is a WordPress plugin that shows whether AI assistants name your client’s business.
Freelance web designers and small agencies in Lagos, Nairobi, Kigali or Abidjan know the pattern: a project brings in money once, then the client calls months later with a question you answer for free. Recommending the right tools at the right time is part of that advice. An affiliate program simply means that when a client buys a tool you recommended, a share of the price comes back to you.
Why web designers are well placed
- You are already trusted. Clients ask you which plugins to install and they usually follow your advice.
- You see the problem first. When a client asks “why does ChatGPT recommend my competitor and not me?”, you are often the first person they ask.
- You can show, not sell. You have access to the site, so you can run a real check and show the client the result on screen.
That last point matters. Amaso Lite is free on WordPress.org, with nothing locked: unlimited tracked keywords and AI citation checks with the client’s own AI keys (the AI providers bill that usage), automatic JSON-LD schema and a generated llms.txt. You can install it on a client site at no cost, and the client only pays for a plan if they want more.
Five moments in a project where Amaso fits
- The proposal. Add a line about AI visibility to your quote: “we will check whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity name your business, and fix what keeps you out.”
- The launch. Install Amaso Lite during setup, list the questions customers ask, and run a first check. Results show the exact question, the engine and the date.
- The handover. Walk the client through the results. If they want scheduled checks, more websites or automation, explain the paid plans and share your link.
- The monthly maintenance report. Add one line on AI visibility next to backups, updates and speed. It shows ongoing value.
- Training sessions. If you train business owners, demonstrate Amaso Lite live and give your personal coupon code to those who want a plan.
If you need to explain the idea first, our guide on checking if ChatGPT recommends your business and Amaso’s own page on what AI visibility (GEO) is give clients a plain introduction.
Which plan for which client
| Client | Plan to suggest | Your commission (yearly / lifetime) |
|---|---|---|
| Small business, one site, wants to start free | Amaso Lite | None (free plugin) |
| One website, wants scheduled checks with e-mail alerts | Starter, $35.99 a year or $99 lifetime | $12.60 / $34.65 |
| Business with up to 3 websites | Pro, $79.99 a year or $229 lifetime | $28.00 / $80.15 |
| Agency or group with many websites | Agency, $199.99 a year or $549 lifetime (unlimited websites, GEO Autopilot 4 runs a month) | $70.00 / $192.15 |
Prices are on the Amaso pricing page. AI usage is billed separately by the AI providers, on the client’s own keys: say so clearly when you recommend a plan.
One trap: if you buy the Agency plan for your own agency, it is your own purchase, and the terms say there is no commission on purchases made with your own account, e-mail or Mobile Money number. The same applies if you buy a plan for a client using your own e-mail. Let each client buy with their own details, through your link or with your code.
Stay honest: it protects your reputation
Your clients trust you more than any advert. Keep it that way:
- Tell clients you earn a commission. The terms do not require it, but clients appreciate it, and it keeps your advice credible.
- Never promise results. Amaso does not guarantee rankings, citations by AI assistants or sales, and the terms forbid you to say it does.
- No spam and no ads on the Amaso name. Unsolicited messages are not allowed, and neither is buying ads on “Amaso”, “amasoai” or the domain names.
- Recommend only when it helps. A client with no website or no customers asking questions online does not need it yet.
How the money reaches you
Your link (amasoai.com/go/yourname/) credits a purchase made within 30 days of the click, once the visitor accepts cookies. A sale made with your coupon code always counts, which suits clients who buy weeks after a meeting. Each commission waits 14 days for refunds, then it is paid with the monthly payout around the 5th, once your balance reaches USD 10, to your Mobile Money number in the currency of that number. Your dashboard shows visits, orders and commission for each link and source.
Be realistic: renewals are not commissioned, and earnings depend on your clients’ needs. Treat it as an extra next to your design and maintenance work, not as a salary. For the full journey of a commission, read our guide to the Amaso affiliate program paid by Mobile Money.
Frequently asked questions
Can I install Amaso Lite on the sites I build for clients?
Yes. Amaso Lite is free on WordPress.org with nothing locked, so you can add it to any client site. The client’s own AI keys are billed by the AI providers for the checks.
If I buy a licence for my client, do I earn the commission?
Not if you buy it with your own account, e-mail or Mobile Money number: that counts as your own purchase. Let the client buy with their own details through your link or code.
Should I tell clients that I earn a commission?
We recommend it. The terms do not require it, but being open keeps your advice credible and your clients loyal.
Can I run Google Ads to promote my link?
Not on the words “Amaso” or “amasoai”, nor on the domain names: the terms forbid it. You can promote your own services and content.
Do I need to be an Amaso customer to join?
No. Joining is free, there is no sales target, and every application is reviewed by the team.
