When a family plans a wedding, faces a funeral or a hospital bill, or when a church or a community starts a project, the money often comes from many people giving a little. Today that usually means a WhatsApp group, a phone number to send money to, and someone keeping the list by hand.

Fosia Crowdfunding, built by FOSIA in Kigali, turns that into a real campaign page on your own website, where donors give with the wallet in their pocket.

How donors give

1. Pick an amount. The donor opens your campaign, taps a suggested amount or types their own, and can give anonymously or leave a short message.
2. Approve with their PIN. The payment prompt reaches their phone, and they approve it with their Mobile Money PIN.
3. Watch the total grow. Once the payment is confirmed, the total, the progress bar and the list of recent donors update.

The money goes straight to your own PawaPay account. Fosia never holds it and takes no commission on donations.

What each campaign gets

• A real campaign page: cover, story, a goal with 25, 50 and 75% milestones, donors and days left, and a donation panel that stays in view.
• Shared on WhatsApp first: WhatsApp, copy link, a QR code for posters and the phone’s own share menu, on the campaign and on the thank-you page.
• Respect for donors: the donor list shows a first name and an initial only, or “Anonymous”, never a phone number.
• Updates and rewards: a timeline of campaign news, reward tiers, and cash gifts recorded in the admin that count in the totals.
• Numbers that matter: amount raised, donors, campaigns open, a donations log and a CSV export.
• English and French, built to look right in any theme, with Divi 5 modules and shortcodes.

For which causes?
